In 2001 A.G came out with the first Doll of the Year . . . her name was Lindsey. In 2002 they did not have a Doll of the Year but, in 2003 they had a Doll of the Year named Kailee. They had more Dolls of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
When American Girl first came out they had 3 Historical Dolls . . . they were Samantha Parkington, Kirsten Larson, and Molly McIntire. In 2008 Samantha & her friend Nellie retired. Also Kirsten retired in 2009. This broght up sales in these 2 dolls and the sold out very fast.
In 2004 American Girl came out with a line of Best Friend for the historical dolls. Samatha, Molly, Felicity, Julie, & Kit all got best friends.

Each dolls came dressed in an out fit called a "Meet" outfit. Also you could buy furniture, clothes, and acsessories for your doll just like you can with the Historical dolls.
Also in 1995 American Girl came out with Bitty Babies. Bitty Babies are a line of baby dolls that are all different like the Just Like You Dolls. In 2003 American Girl came out with Bitty Twins. They came out with 2 kinds a boy and a girl with blonde hair and a boy and a girl with brown hair. Bitty Twins are like Bitty Babies but they are more of a toddler. In 2008 they came out with more Bitty Twins but they had longer hair, more skin colors, and you could get 2 girls or 2 boys.
